A law firm seeks a driven and dynamic Associate Attorney to join its Lombard, IL office. Duties:

  • Manage family law cases, including divorce, custody, and support matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies for clients.
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing legal advice and updates on their cases.
  • Handle cases independently, while also assisting other attorneys as needed.
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings on behalf of clients.
  • Contribute to the firm’s diverse practice areas, including immigration, criminal law, personal injury, workers' compensation, real estate, and probate.
  • Maintain high standards of legal drafting, client service, and case management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois.
  • Strong knowledge of family law, with experience in divorce, custody, and support matters.
  • Experience in immigration law, criminal law, workers’ compensation, personal injury, or probate is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills to work directly with clients.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
  • Strong legal writing and drafting abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle a diverse range of legal matters.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
