Litigation Paralegal Duties: Responsible for handling paralegal duties as required for the attorneys within the office and to assist the senior paralegals on a daily basis. Conduct and provide internet research, including pulling cases from Lexis and Westlaw. Organize, update case files, pleadings and correspondence files. Adequately compile and organize case materials; and compile relevant documents in databases and network drives to maintain an accessible case file. Assist senior paralegals and attorneys with deposition witness files, document productions, briefs and other various tasks as they are assigned in preparation for depositions and arbitrations Create witness preparation materials such as deposition preparation binders, direct testimony materials and cross examination materials. Assist with preparation of declarations and exhibits for motions. Organize, analyze, and index documents and exhibits. Ability to convey information to individuals at all levels within the firm in a courteous and professional manner; strong client service orientation. Perform administrative duties, such as calendar hearings, court and discovery deadlines.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: BS/BA from an accredited college or university is required and a paralegal certificate is preferred. 1+ years of experience as a paralegal with a strong interest in the legal profession. Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects with changing priorities. Exercise good judgment and follow through on assigned tasks. A team player as well as working independently. Exhibit a positive, helpful attitude and the ability to maintain confidential information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communications that are clear and concise, use proper grammar and appropriate vocabulary. Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure with continually changing priorities; ability to integrate special assignments or projects into workflow. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent judgment demonstrated by the ability to make appropriate decisions in high pressure situations.
