Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Real Estate Counsel and Real Estate Department of a fast-growing company. Legal support to the Real Estate, Construction, and Property Management Departments; and general Legal department support, including project and document management, research and administrative support. Support legal department of a fast-growing company. Coordinate closing logistics; prepare closing checklists and critical dates memos; assist with preparation of real estate related documents and correspondence. Coordinate calendar, scheduling and tracking of critical dates. Coordinate, compile and track documents through full execution/recording and distribution to appropriate parties. Analyze, interpret, abstract and summarize a variety of agreements including letters of intent, NDAs, license agreements, easements, access agreements, leases, consents, waivers, purchase and sale agreements, REAs, estoppels and SNDAs. Reviewing and assessing title insurance commitments/policies (and related title documents), surveys and other due diligence, and coordinating changes with the appropriate parties. Answer calls/emails from store and regional management and dispense legal advice commensurate with experience (i.e., on matters not requiring input from a real estate or other counsel). Manage special projects or other department or company initiatives. Maintain existing and closed files and other legal and administrative duties as needed. Must have Bachelor’s degree. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is a plus. Should have relevant commercial real estate experience at a law firm or in-house legal department (retail and industrial experience a plus). Excellent organizational, communication and client service skills is needed. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external business partners, as well as government agencies is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is must.
