Full Job Description
Minimum 3 years Paralegal / Legal Assistant experience is a must.
Must have experience with law firm escrow/bookkeeping/accounting practices.
Must have experience/understanding of NYS real estate transactions.
Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word/Excel/Outlook.
Must be detail oriented and able to proofread your own work.
Must have substantial experience in drafting legal correspondence.
Prefer familiarity with NYS Not-for-Profit Law, tax-exemption filings & registration, and governance.
Prefer familiarity with estate planning, probate, estate administration in NYS.
Prefer familiarity with setting up new business entities.
Prefer familiarity with drafting NYS civil litigation documents and e-filing.
Prefer familiarity with Cosmolex practice management software.
NYS Notary Public Preferred.
To keep our staff and clients safe, we provide masks, gloves and hand sanitizer. Additionally, we've modified our policies and practices to reduce in-person visits from clients. Admin work desk is in a separate but connected office from Attorney.
