Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Coverage Attorney on behalf of a professional liability practice group. Based in San Francisco, this hybrid position focuses on investigating, researching, and preparing detailed reports and analyses related to complex professional liability claims, including those against construction and design firms. The role requires a strong understanding of insurance contracts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within client service agreements. The billable hour requirement for this position is 1850 hours per year.

Duties:

• Analyze complex insurance contracts and policy forms.
• Apply policy contract terms to a variety of professional liability claim scenarios.
• Stay current on legislative trends and court decisions and provide timely updates, insights, and recommendations.
• Produce comprehensive written opinions with strategic recommendations for business leaders.
• Collaborate with claims management to provide expert legal advice on risk exposure, policy interpretation, litigation strategy, and claims-handling protocols.
• Ensure high-quality work product delivery within established service level agreements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed attorney in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 3+ years of legal experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with persuasive ability.
• Experience in conflict resolution and handling complex problem scenarios.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in interpreting insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and litigating coverage matters.
