Litigation Paralegal Duties: Prepares and transmits correspondence. Works independently with minimal supervision. Prepares responses to complex discovery requests. Prepares trial and deposition notebooks. Organizes, indexes, and summarizes medical records. Summarizes depositions in preparation for trial. Proofs, verifies, and edits all documents created for accuracy, clarity, and formatting consistency Maintains and reviews calendar daily and proactively handle upcoming events, schedules appointments Organizes workload to meet established priorities and get time-sensitive documents out in a timely manner Reviews task list and calendar daily to assure deadlines are met Assists with opening new cases (i.e., orders medical bills and records, subrogation liens). Maintaining paper and electronic case files. Assists with travel arrangements. Communicates with clients and attorneys by telephone, mail, and email. Uses discretion and judgment when communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Alerts attorneys of any problems. Required to handle and lift 4 inch binders of records and boxes of documents. Performs all duties consistent with the policies and procedures of the firm.

Qualifications: Experience in Plaintiff-side Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Product Liability is a plus. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and WordPerfect. Proficiency with Needles Case Management is a plus. Proficient at typing. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working in a fast paced and frequently changing environment. Excellent grammar and writing skills required. The candidate must possess significant attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
