Duties

  • Manage personal injury cases from start to finish, ensuring the timely and efficient handling of each case.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in settlement negotiations and advocate on their behalf in legal proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and provide informed guidance to clients, offering advice on legal and factual matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies and share insights on case progress.
  • Supervise and mentor pre-litigation case managers and support staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Review and analyze legal documents, summarizing findings to support case strategy.

Requirements

  • Active membership in the Arizona State Bar in good standing.
  • 3 to 9 years of experience in personal injury law or related practice areas.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully closing settlements.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear, professional client interactions.
  • Proficiency with legal software tools such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Westlaw.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active member of the Arizona State Bar, with no history of State Bar discipline.

Skills

  • Expertise in personal injury law, including settlement negotiation and litigation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle a high-volume caseload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts.
  • Proficient in legal research and analysis, with experience using Westlaw and other legal research tools.
  • Client-focused with a strong commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Mentorship and leadership skills to guide junior staff and case managers.
