Labor and Employment Counsel The candidate will provide legal counsel on a broad range of HR, labor and employment matters related to the company. Will ensure compliance with federal and state laws regarding discrimination, wages, hours and labor conditions. Conduct legal research and prepare legal analyses and recommendations. Assess and evaluate risk. Supervise and perform internal investigations. Manage outside counsel. Should have a J.D. degree from a well-recognized institution. Must have 10+ years of labor and employment experience. Top law firm experience focused on labor and employment matters is essential. Membership of a State Bar is required. Should have experience in discrimination claims, the EEOC and state-equivalent processes, wage and hour regulations, and DOL investigations. Management and supervisory experience is needed.
