Counsel IV The candidate will join a team of legal professionals responsible for providing legal advice to the Company’s Conduct Management Office (CMO). Will establish, maintain, and oversee the implementation of the Conduct Risk Functional Framework, including implementing and enforcing enterprise-wide standards for conduct risk management activities, which reinforces fair treatment of customers, counterparties, and team members. Deliver coordinated legal advice in collaboration with other subject matter experts in the Legal Department to the CMO’s key functions, including its Ethics, Complaints, and Sales Practices Oversight. Active State Bar membership is needed. Should have 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney; or 6+ years of experience as a practicing attorney and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following areas: risk, compliance, contracts, government/regulatory, financial services, or technology. Extensive knowledge and understanding of research, counsel, and guidance on complex legal questions or inquiries are needed. Strong attention to detail and accuracy skill is needed. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skill is essential. Significant legal experience in one or more of the following areas; Ethics and conflicts of interest, Complaints management, Regulatory compliance and consumer protection, UDAAP and sales practices, Employment law, Internal investigations are desired. Strong relationship management skills and ability to collaborate and influence in an evolving environment is desired. Deadline: 15 August, 2018.
