Staff Attorney - Family Law
The candidate will assist in the direct representation of low-income San Diegans in a variety of family law matters, including domestic violence, child custody, and divorce cases. Will mentor, train, and recruit pro bono attorneys, and supervise the work of pro bono attorneys providing representation for SDVLP matters. Perform community outreach and education, and work with local social service providers. Assist in supervising the work of non-attorney staff. Should have admission to practice law in California, at least 2+ years of family law experience, a commitment to SDVLP’s mission of connecting indigent clients with pro bono attorneys, excellent mentorship skills, and excellent communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) oral and written communication skills are preferred.
