Legal Assistant Duties: Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, seminars, and court hearings. Assist with clients in person and by emails, phones and updating case status. Managing court calendars and deadlines. Coordinates and completes clerical related duties such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, filing and collating. Prepares various legal documents and letters as requested. Performs data entry, binds documents, converts original documents to new software, indexes files and e-Records and e-files documents Works on various on-site and off-site projects with attorneys and staff Answers phones, processes mail, and organizes work stations Maintains supply room and kitchen Various errands, deliveries to post office, etc.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Meticulous in attention to detail. Ability to work well in fast paced environment. Exposure to the legal field, process and terminology. Strong word processing skills; knowledge of databases is helpful. Good working knowledge of office equipment i.e., copy machines, printers, fax machines, scanners, computers and Microsoft Office software. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Spanish a plus.
