ProfileAdministrative Law Judge The candidate will be responsible for conducting and adjudicating administrative hearings for the Administrative Hearings Office, including cases under the Implied Consent Act and Motor Vehicle Code. Will conduct and adjudicate administrative hearings to include Implied Consent Act hearings, Motor Vehicle Code hearings, and other hearing types as assigned; schedule hearings and other pre-hearing conference; rule on evidentiary questions; develop/maintain a complete record of the proceeding; and control the conduct of the litigants to ensure a fair and orderly hearing process. Research, prepare, and efficiently write coherent, well-reasoned, and legally-supported decisions and orders after each case hearing in compliance with statutory deadlines. Travel to hearing locations across the state to conduct hearings in the required statutory location. Should have 3+ years of experience as an attorney. Must have experience writing decisions and orders, proposed findings of facts and conclusions or law, or other objective legal memorandum. Must have Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, Social Services or Labor Relations and 6 years of experience in conducting administrative hearings, employment placement, claims adjudication and/or investigations. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling 10 years may substitute for the required education and experience.
