Part-time Paralegal Duties: Preparing legal documents such as initial and amended articles of incorporation, certificates of formation and limited liability company agreements, corporate resolutions, and other securities, closing documents and binders, deeds, and other documents for review and approval by an attorney.. Obtaining required information from the file and obtaining and completing forms for company maintenance and compliance, including local and state LLC maintenance, tax filings, and business license applications and renewals.. Assisting with commercial real estate transactions including preparing checklists, assisting with due diligence, preparing real estate closing documents, and assisting in closing process. Review and proofread legal documents and verify internal and external references. Investigates facts and compiles data and information in reports. Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, regulations, and court decisions. Performing clerical duties such as maintaining attorney calendar, providing information to callers, composing and typing routine correspondence, tracking deadlines, maintaining and updating social media. Filing correspondence, notes, and legal documents in office electronic filing system.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have: Undergraduate degree (highly desired) and/or paralegal degree. 3+ years of experience in the corporate/business and/or commercial real estate fields (required). Comfortable with highly-computerized office and virtual filing system, including with SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Dropbox, Lexis, and cloud-based billing system (required). Experience with WordPress and/or Constant Contact a plus. Excellent organizational skills. Thorough, precise, and detail-oriented. Demonstrates reliability, ingenuity, and follow through. Flexible team player who also is comfortable working independently.
