Bailiff The candidate will assist with conducting open court sessions and in the operation of the Court. Record all court proceedings. Input data into appropriate computer systems. Conduct open court sessions, assisting judicial officers and staff during court proceedings. Prepare files for new arrests. Enter appropriate minutes into the Case Management system. Answer court telephones and respond to questions from court representatives and the general public. Assist with the scheduling of cases and effective management of the court calendar. Assist other staff members in duties essential to the operations of court. Prepare and maintain files. Record and report all court proceedings. Communication with criminal justice partners and judicial via telephone and email. Should have high school diploma or equivalent; college course work, clerical or administrative experience and paralegal training preferred. Knowledge and understanding of legal terminology and civil and/or criminal procedures a plus. Prior criminal justice work experience is preferred. Proven computer skills with the ability to navigate between a variety of software and case management programs essential. Application deadline: June 1, 2018.
