ProfileParalegal The candidate will support its attorneys with legal research, drafting and overall administrative support in the areas of complex collection cases, Medicaid eligibility and appeals, guardianship and probate matters as well as related civil litigation. Primary duties of the position include: Drafting routine correspondence and reading and routing incoming mail; Analysis of incoming correspondence for due dates and necessary follow up; Calendaring due dates, deadlines, appointments for attorneys; Preparation of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, deeds, and applications for attorney review; Research and analysis of law sources and court filing rules and guidelines; Regular and frequent telephone and electronic communication with courts, administrative offices, financial institutions and clients; Filing correspondence and legal documents by mail and electronically; Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents; and Other clerical duties as may be necessary to the overall workflow and operation of the firm. A Bachelorâ€™s degree is required. Should preferably have 2 years of related experience and/or training along with a paralegal certification. Must have: Problem Solving and Analysis; Thoroughness and Attention to Detail; Organizational Skills; Teamwork Orientation; Sound Business Judgment; Strong Capacity for Technology. Must have the ability to work in the firmâ€™s corporate headquarters in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
