Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Obtaining information for real estate closings from various sources such as the buyer, seller, real estate agents, lenders, and city offices. Following up on uncleared checks. Sending completed paperwork packages to lenders. Obtaining payoffs for mortgages. Answer the phone and direct phone calls. Greet clients as they enter the building. Seat clients in conference rooms for their appointments. Receive and send mail. Order supplies. Clean up conference rooms after meetings.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High school diploma required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Outlook. Must take initiative, be pro-active and possess aggressive follow-through skills. Good interpersonal skills and a professional attitude. Ability to work on multiple deadline-driven tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment. Highly skilled with technology with the ability to work paperless. Ability to follow directions is extremely important. Good verbal/written skills are paramount for this position as there will be a requirement to interact with clients, lenders, and other third party vendors. Ability to type is required.
