A law firm in Jeffersonville, IN, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong background in general civil litigation or litigation involving financial institutions. The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of complex litigation cases, demonstrating expertise in all phases of litigation. This role requires a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, an active Indiana law license, and significant experience in case evaluation, discovery, and trial preparation. The candidate must exhibit excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.

Duties:

• Manage a portfolio of complex litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Develop and execute case strategies, including case evaluation, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case development.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests with precision.
• Collaborate with litigation support staff to prepare cases for trial.
• Represent clients in court, including arguing motions and conducting direct and cross-examinations.
• Communicate regularly with clients to keep them informed of legal developments and provide strategic advice.
• Work closely with other attorneys and team members on complex legal issues.
• Stay current with relevant legal developments and industry trends.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines to ensure timely and high-quality work product.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing license to practice law in Indiana.
• 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
• Expertise in managing a portfolio of complex litigation cases.
• Experience with all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to legal issues.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
