Senior Commercial Escrow Officer / Underwriter The candidate will maintain escrow records and files and acts as escrow agent. Will manage a portfolio of assigned escrow customers and brokers. Provides high level of customer service and develops ongoing escrow referrals from existing escrow customers and brokers. Maintain records in the escrow accounting system and customer database. Opens escrow transactions; develops and/or obtains the appropriate escrow documentation in accordance with policy and procedures and applicable statutory and Federal regulations. Manages assigned escrow customers and brokers as their relationship manager; provides customer service and develops ongoing escrow referrals for transactions. Reviews escrow reports against escrow records to ensure accuracy of posted escrow transactions. Provides underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customer(s), related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies. Utilizes underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits, to underwrite the issuance of title insurance. Provides guidance to company personnel in the performance of real estate settlement services. Issues underwriting standards and guidelines in accordance with established company processes. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry field is needed. Knowledge of Microsoft Office application is essential. Law degree is required. Should have 5-7 years of title underwriting experience. Must have 5+ years related Escrow experience. Must be familiar with real estate law. Licensed to practice law and in good standing is needed. General knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to real estate title insurance and settlement services are needed. Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skill is needed. Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and timely follow up is essential.
