Litigation Paralegal Candidate will assist with complex civil litigation dealing with a broad range of cases including business disputes, personal injury, legal malpractice and other insurance defense matters. . Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery and correspondence. Communicate with clients, courts and other individuals to obtain pertinent case information. Assist with preparation for hearings, depositions, trial and other various meetings. Maintain calendar to reflect case deadlines and upcoming case events. Manage documents and identify pertinent documents for various projects (such as exhibits for a trial/deposition, key discovery responses or correspondence that contains relevant communications). Coordinate workflow and reminders for attorneys. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience to support three litigation attorneys. Will be able to demonstrate working knowledge of civil procedure in federal and state courts, litigation support, attention to detail and drafting skills. May require legal research, fact investigation, and preparation of documents to assist attorneys at depositions, mediation and trials. Administrative tasks may be required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are critical. Excellent client service and organizational skills to proactively manage workload with minimal supervision are essential.
