A law firm based in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a remote Immigration Attorney to manage USCIS and USCIS-related immigration cases. The successful candidate will collaborate with firm attorneys and paralegals to handle day-to-day client interactions, prepare for Individual and Master Hearings, and manage a diverse caseload. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential, as is the ability to explain immigration concepts, develop strategic solutions, and keep up-to-date with legislative changes.
Duties:
- Work fully remotely on USCIS and USCIS-related immigration cases.
- Conduct consultations with potential new clients to determine necessary strategies.
- Collaborate with firm attorneys and paralegals on client interactions and case preparation for Individual and Master Hearings before immigration courts.
- Manage a caseload, ensuring deadlines are met and providing timely responses to clients and firm partners.
- Explain complex immigration concepts to clients and present strategic solutions.
- Prepare and review diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
- Review and adjust immigration application packets as needed.
- Engage with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
- Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews.
- Provide legal analysis to identify potential benefits and prepare legal briefs for various immigration cases.
- Submit and review immigration applications, including family and humanitarian-based petitions before USCIS.
- Coordinate case and legal strategies with other team members.
- Prepare and manage various case filings, including briefs, cover letters, and other documents required by USCIS.
- Research unique legal issues and stay updated on legislative changes impacting immigration law.
- Develop solutions to complex legal issues and perform other duties as assigned by the firm's partners.
Requirements:
- 1-4 years of immigration experience.
- Fluent in Spanish is required.

- Active Bar License in Good Standing from any . State or territory (DC, Puerto Rico) is required.
- Experience with USCIS processes and related immigration law.
