International Trade Compliance Manager The candidate will work within the military engines ITC organization.Will Lead and manage Military Engines ITC objectives. Assist and train ITC specialists with licensing strategy, planning and execution of ITAR agreements, licenses and exemptions and Commerce licenses and exceptions. Ensure the activation and management processes of Military Engines authorizations are carried out. Maintain good relationships with program counterparts and be aware of program developments to ensure export authorization needs are recognized in advance and addressed on a timely basis to support on-going business activities. Implement required standard work, coordinate export requirements with program and ITC management, ensure compliance with company policies and U.S. Import and Export regulations in relation to hardware, technical data and defense services. Provide Military Engines customers day-to-day guidance in trade compliance subject matter areas. Provide ITC personnel and Military Engines personnel with formal training as required to ensure timely compliance. Participate in Pratt & Whitney ITC activities including: audits, internal investigations, corrective actions, communications, training and implementation of key policies and procedures. Follow standardized processes to determine root cause and corrective actions for process improvements based on data, process failures and other related investigation recommendations. Represent Military Engines ITC as required, in ITC initiatives led by the ITC Legal organization and ensure that business unit needs and requirements are sufficiently addressed in these initiatives and process improvement projects. Will manage and oversee a team of ITC specialists responsible for working closely with the business to develop process solutions to ITC issues.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have BA/BS Degree. Must have 4+ years’ experience with interpreting ITAR and EAR regulations and other applicable laws and regulations governing international trade. Experience applying and managing export authorizations including use of internal and external IT tools (D-Trade/SNAP-R/OCR-EASE, etc.). Understanding of customs/import laws and non-U.S. trade compliance regulations. Advanced degree and/or JD preferred. Prior experience supervising and developing a team of ITC professionals. Must be a collaborative team player, possess multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, be adaptive and work effectively in a time sensitive and dynamic environment. Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, interpersonal, leadership and verbal and written communication skills. Professional maturity to work with minimal daily supervision while balancing numerous priorities. Demonstrated leadership competencies and ability to work proactively across groups and functions. ACE Associate Certification is strongly preferred. Proven effective utilization of ACE/continuous improvement tools to drive process improvements. This role requires a candidate with solid international trade compliance skills coupled with proven leadership skills.
