Senior Associate General Counsel, Labor and Employment The candidate will advise on the full range of global employment law issues (assisted by foreign counsel as necessary). Provide practical, business-oriented and legally sound advice to Human Resources, management and other stakeholders on all aspects of the employment relationship. Develop, draft and implement a variety of workplace policies, employee training and employment-related templates and agreements in collaboration with Human Resources and other functions as appropriate. Manage labor and employment legal issues affecting the Company in consultation with other attorneys in the department as appropriate. Manage and resolve legal matters and concerns arising out of the day-to-day functions of the company with limited supervision and guidance. Employee will work on matters requiring a broad and thorough understanding of the company and its business environment. Consult with management on legal issues with significant value for the Company. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of labor and employment developments that may impact the Company. Comply with processes to protect the company from unnecessary risks and liabilities, including all reporting requirements. Remain current on legal trends, laws and regulations and proactively communicate information to other attorneys in the Legal Department. Provide or assist with providing legal training to business units within the Company. Frequently meet with and counsel individuals within the Company. Work with and manage outside counsel to develop labor and employment (including related litigation) strategies and maximize efficiency. Achieve business-oriented objectives and cost-effective solutions while mitigating employment legal risk. Ensure company compliance with all applicable employment, compensation, benefit, immigration and workers’ compensation laws. Oversee, direct and provide employment advice with respect to internal investigations. Investigate, negotiate and resolve pre-litigation claims and administrative charges, and serve as subject matter expert for employment litigation matters. Advise on immigration matters. Investigate and prepare responses to administrative charges and other pre-litigation matters, negotiating resolution of claims. Lead and/or assist with special projects or other assignments to further departmental goals. Periodic travel within and outside the US will be required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have JD degree from an accredited law school. Must be member in good standing of the Bar. Must have 10+ years’ experience dedicated to the practice of labor and employment law counseling and litigation, handling the responsibilities outlined above; in-house employment law experience preferred. Familiarity with federal labor laws is essential.
