Paralegal The candidate will prepare, review, analyze and organize documents in connection with a wide range of sophisticated and complex litigation matters including construction and general business litigation for state and federal court. Will work as part of a dynamic collaborative team, including experienced and recognized lawyers and an advanced in-house technology department for managing litigation. Put into practice advanced case management skills, seeing a case from inception through discovery, examination, trial preparation, trial and post-trial phases of matters. Review, analyze and organize litigation documents. Provide clear and complete work delegation to association, administrative legal assistants and other support staff as necessary. Monitor on-going case activity and shifting deadlines. Paralegal certificate, or a 4-year college degree is needed. A paralegal career model which provides paralegals with a growth opportunity and an outlined path toward advancement in their career within the firm is needed. Should have 5-7 years of large law firm and/or corporate in-house, complex litigation experience. Trial preparation and experience is needed. Should have 2+ years of experience handling general corporate, finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities (including Section 16 filings) and other business transactions preferred.

Revise your approach to how people move up in the firm. Not everyone is single with no other life outside the office to get in the way of working long hours.

Pros : There is plenty of challenging work, a long list of great clients, fantastic lawyers and the senior management is simply outstanding. There is great support on you cases from management and associates.
Cons : They will work you until you drop if you let them, but you really have to do this if you want to move up. Moving up can be a difficult process unless you really put in a lot of overtime and produce big.
