The candidate will work as a strategic partner with senior leaders to determine the best course for the achievement of company objectives and will manage their workload independently. Will possess exceptional transactional skills, including structuring, drafting, reviewing and negotiating sophisticated contracts; ability to oversee and manage outside litigation counsel, third party administrators, and insurers; assess corporate risk and devise strategies for leadership to reduce the same; oversee department’s budget and manage invoice billing from outside firms; assist in the development and implementation of departmental goals. Must have Juris Doctorate. Should have 5-8 Years legal experience, preferably in insurance defense or other types of civil litigation. Experience with reviewing and auditing legal billing required. Expertise in time management and workload prioritization essential. Specialties desired: corporate generalist, general commercial/contract, compliance, litigation, insurance, and employment. Securities law knowledge a plus.
