Administrative Secretary - Felony Division The candidate provides administrative support to department, public and other departments to ensure effective, efficient and productive workflow. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department. Responds to incoming telephone calls and in-person requests from the public, County employees, attorneys, and staff members, provides assistance and/or directs to the appropriate person. Prepares and maintains legal documents, files, and legal research items including docket preparation. Prepares legal paperwork for court proceedings; Takes statements of victims when assigned; Inputs cases and related data to computer and prepares reports from same data; Monitors database information system. Serves as Notary Public. Assists and instructs other employees with their duties; Assigns, plans and reviews work of others; Acts on employeesâ€™ problems and recommends selection of new employees. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers. Should have High School Diploma/GED. Must have 3 years job related experience. Strong computer and typing skills (minimum 40 wpm). Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office/Word.
