Unpaid/ Volunteer Law School Intern Candidate's duties include observation of court proceedings, witness interview and conferences. Digesting case records (school, medical, COI’s, forensic reports). Conducting legal research and drafting legal memorandum of law. Drafting legal documents (subpoena’s, orders to produce, memos of law). Drafting client and collateral witness correspondence. Second seating attorney during trial (note taking, gathering and distributing exhibits). Conducting collateral interviews. Locating and providing referrals to clients. Obtaining and copying court files. Fall/Spring = minimum of 15-20 hours/week.
