A law firm in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking an experienced Litigation Securities Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of securities litigation experience. The ideal candidate should be admitted to the Bar and possess strong litigation skills in securities matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle securities litigation cases from initiation through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents related to securities litigation.
  • Assist in discovery processes, including document review, preparation of discovery requests, and depositions.
  • Analyze complex financial documents and securities laws to formulate case strategies.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments and changes in securities laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience in securities litigation at a law firm or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of securities laws, regulations, and litigation procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conducting discovery, including depositions and document review.
  • Financial analysis skills related to securities matters.
  • Courtroom experience and trial preparation skills.
