Privacy Specialist The candidate will be responsible for contributing to the implementation of and adherence to the Global Privacy Program and applicable data protection laws as a member of the Global Privacy Office by supporting privacy governance and policies, procedures, practices and standards. Collaborates with departmental and business unit stakeholders to maintain any required records of personal data processing activities in connection with the provision of services to the Company’s clients. Coordinates privacy due diligence workflow and documentation. Facilitates data gathering associated with initial and periodic privacy assessments in conjunction with third-party vendor risk assessments and application criticality assessments, presents conclusions, and maintains critical information in data privacy control systems. Develops and operates key performance index metrics to measure the effectiveness of the assigned privacy program responsibilities. Participates, under the direction of the Global Privacy and Data Management Officer, in ongoing privacy compliance monitoring to ensure the Company maintains appropriate privacy notice and consent mechanisms and follows best privacy practices. Contributes to the development of guidance and other communications originating from the Global Privacy Office. Maintains, with the Company’s master data management department, a current inventory of personal information assets along with associated data flow mappings. Engages across the Company and with third parties as a “privacy champion†representing the Company’s commitment to the protection of personal information. Other privacy program responsibilities may be assigned depending upon experience. Must have 2-3 years of related privacy experience. Bachelor’s Degree or other relevant specialized training or education, such as paralegal certification is essential. Must have familiarity with privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, and privacy risks. Experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry is a plus. Experience working in a global organization is also a plus.
