Litigation - International Arbitration

Paralegal Duties: Provide high level of support to attorneys in all phases of litigation, antitrust and international arbitration matters. Work closely with attorneys on litigation, arbitration, investigation, compliance, and antitrust matters. Aid in preparation for trials, arbitrations, depositions, client meetings, presentations. Assist with document reviews and preparation of document productions, witness kits, privilege logs, digests, chronologies, indices, trial and arbitration binders. Assist with preparation, coordination, execution, and distribution of court filings and tribunal submissions. Monitor, organize and maintain central records of files per firm and practice group protocols. Prepare working group lists; actively monitor case correspondence for updates and developments. Conduct research and prepare case books utilizing Westlaw, Lexis, and other research services, as needed. Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence and memoranda. Utilize business equipment, i.e., photocopying, scanning, database entry, word processing, etc. Cite-check, Bluebook, KeyCite/Shepardize briefs; prepare tables of authorities and contents; assemble exhibits to filings and submissions. Assist Manager, Litigation Legal Assistants & Specialists, as needed, in areas of training and recruiting. Serve as a resource to attorneys and legal assistants on procedural and case-specific issues, e.g., questions pertaining to cite-checking, the Bluebook, filing of court documents, discovery, trial preparation, etc. Prepare audit response letters, as needed. Attend practice group and case team meetings. Prepare and release daily diaries, weekly timesheets and Current Availability System reports. Mentor junior legal assistants, as needed, and effectively follow through on all delegated tasks as assigned. Assist with special projects, i.e., monitoring topics of interest to attorneys, analysis of questionnaires, etc., as needed; carry out other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate will have an outstanding academic record, some work experience as a paralegal and excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Will be well-organized, able to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and have good judgment and high ethical standards. Knowledge of case-related factual issues and court and arbitral procedures.
