ProfileAssistant United States Attorney Candidate will be responsible for serving the federal law enforcement. Will be responsible for handling the investigation and prosecution of federal crimes. Will include prosecuting a wide range of cases such as firearms offenses, drug crimes, child exploitation and other violent crimes, fraud, embezzlement and other white collar crimes. Some travel is required. May also be called upon to assist in the prosecution of a wide variety of other criminal cases as needed to address the district's priorities. Assistant United States Attorneys work their cases from inception through appeal, and thus, in addition to district court work, the successful candidate will be responsible for drafting appellate briefs and presenting oral arguments.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must have excellent academic credentials, a JD degree, an active membership in good standing of the bar of any jurisdiction, 3+ years post-J.D. experience, superior analytical abilities and oral communications skills, excellent research and writing skills, good judgment and strong character. Mentoring and training will be provided.
