Assistant General Counsel - Employment Law The candidate will provide employment law support primarily to Citi's Enterprise Operations and Technology businesses on a wide range of employment matters, including: offers and separations; executive compensation agreements; dispute resolution; discipline and discharge issues; employee investigations (including ethics hotline matters); ADA, FMLA and other leave issues; wage and hour compliance (including DOL audits); federal contractor compliance (including OFCCP audits, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action requirements) reductions-in-force; mergers and acquisitions; employee privacy (such as searches, monitoring/recording communications); and “raiding and recruitingâ€. Will manage a robust and complex litigation docket and associated outside counsel spend and creates and delivers training to HR and business managers on a host of employment related topics. Report to a senior attorney in New York. Must have extensive knowledge of US employment laws; substantial experience counseling clients on employment law matters, conducting investigations and training, and litigation management; excellent analytical, communication and writing skills; and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Juris Doctor degree and Florida state bar admission required. 5+ years' employment law experience preferred. In-house experience, and experience with financial institutions and/or the financial markets, is a plus.
