Paralegal - Litigation The candidate will be listening to clients and connecting to their story. Interpreting clients' communications into actionable, deliverable legal products. Creating initial drafts of legal documents based on client intake and notes. Filing documents with the courts and the clerks. Drafting discovery requests and answers to discovery requests from opposing counsel, and following fixed deadlines. Assisting clients in applications for loan modifications or short sales. Preparing digital and paper case files for trial. Researching publicly available records and processing information into a usable form. Corresponding with team members, clients, attorneys, judges and judicial assistants, and the public in a polished and professional manner. Maintaining and improving internal forms and databases. Additional non-paralegal tasks, such as filing, ordering supplies, and some general administration duties.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have High school or equivalent. Paralegal certificate required. At least 2 -5 years of experience required. Prior experience with a civil litigation law firm, or with a high-volume estate planning, probate, or real estate law firm required. Highly proficient with Word and Outlook. Experienced with web-based applications. Must be able to practice in the United States.
