San Diego office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage or litigation. The candidate will primarily handle first-party insurance bad faith matters but will also handle third-party and coverage review matters as needed. Will have the opportunity to appear in court, take and defend depositions, prepare legal pleadings, motions, and discovery, and interact with both opposing counsel and the client(s). Manage own caseload under the supervision of either a senior attorney or partner. Researching and drafting legal briefs. Work on and argue various law and motion matters in court. Work on Trial preparation. Must have experience in civil litigation and readily familiar with civil procedure. Must have experience drafting summary judgment motions, mediation briefs, and appellate briefs. Should have experience in evaluating insurance claims and coverage and in preparing and drafting coverage opinions. Discovery experience will be both taking and defending depositions. Admission to CA State Bar is required.
