Contract Drafting Associate The candidate will be working with client’s counsel to draft and negotiate initial and amended fund administration, transfer agent, fund custody and registered office agreements. There will also be some vendor contract negotiating. The role will involve substantial client interaction and work closely with groups throughout Fund Services including Alternative Investment Client Service Managers, ’40 Act Relationship Managers and Regulatory Support staff, Business Development Officers, Custody personnel and Strategy Team members involved with client onboarding. Must be open to new challenges and desire professional growth given the rapidly changing regulatory environment facing Fund Services and its clients. The Regulatory Support and Compliance Group has broad responsibilities and interfaces with all U.S. and offshore Fund Services offices and their personnel. Consequently, willingness to become the resident expert on new initiatives and to assist in other matters impacting the Fund Services enterprise is valued. Undergraduate degree in business related field or extensive experience with contract drafting and negotiating; J.D./law degree preferred though not required. Prefer a minimum of one-year experience in the mutual fund, private fund or fund services industry; Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact collaboratively across U.S. Bank; Ability to organize, track and stay on task with numerous contracts being negotiated simultaneously; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while having a team-oriented approach; and Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications.
