Associates are allowed to choose the practice areas and specific assignments that interest them, and they will be challenged with responsibility and client contact. Paralegal - Trademark The candidate will assist with all aspects of trademark applications as well as assist in clearance and prosecution of U.S. and foreign trademarks across multiple clients. Will assist in clearance and prosecution of U.S. and foreign trademarks. Supervise all aspects of trademark applications, which includes. Analyze USPTO and foreign counsel correspondence. Proactively track due dates in the docket and communicate with the USPTO, attorney, paralegals, foreign associates and docket staff regarding prosecution matters. Filings with the USPTO. Performing preliminary trademark searches. Drafting assignment documents for recordation and meeting country specific requirement (e.g., notarization and legalization of documents). Foreign/Madrid Protocol filings and maintenance. 5+ years of experience as a trademark paralegal. Knowledge of USPTO procedures is essential. Experience conducting trademark searches as well as U.S. and foreign filings is essential. Must have 2+ years of law firm experience.A Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification is desirable. Strong attention to detail and expertise working with an extensive patent prosecution docket is essential. Exceptional client service focus is essential. Outstanding communication (oral & written) and organization skills is essential.
