Health Care Intake & Legal Secretary, Part Time Responsibilities: Conducting initial client intakes (determining eligibility, interviewing client to collect facts in the case, writing a summary of the interview, and entering information into a case management database); scheduling appointments; managing referrals; providing support for health care paralegal and attorney staff; and performing other tasks as needed.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must be detail-oriented; proficient using Microsoft Windows and Office; have the ability to relate to the client community; and be self-motivated. Second language ability, particularly Spanish or Somali, strongly preferred. Travel to outreach sites may be required. Legal training, knowledge of community resources, experience with case management software, and experience with diverse populations are helpful. The abilities to multi-task and work well under pressure are important. Applications due by April 25, 2018.
