Paralegal The candidate will assist the Compliance Department and Regulatory Counsels in all stages of corporate transactions and with the preparation of documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulations in the conduct of business activities. Provide timely communication with internal and external customers. Monitoring and responding to incoming email through a centralized email account, tracking contract addendums, ensuring that agreements and addendums are properly executed, and properly documenting files, responding to general insurance questions, completing and submitting contract support documents. Assist in internal and regulatory audit inquiries and preparation. Maintain accurate and complete market and carrier records in all agency management systems. Collaborate with field personnel to contract new business opportunities. Recommend, develop and propose administrative procedures and policies that enhance relationships with providers, clients and other customers as needed. Coordinate correspondence and exchange of draft agreements with markets. Provide proofreading, organizational, formatting of agreements, memos, and reports. Assist in insurance regulatory research and associated legal writing projects. Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of current non-disclosure agreements with markets and counterparties. Assist in document preparation for regulatory responses. Assist in production of financials to carriers and syndicates. Must have 3+ years’ experience in a corporate paralegal setting. Should have Bachelor’s Degree. Prior experience in commercial property and casualty insurance, contracting experience, insurance production experience, or related field is required. Paralegal certificate is a plus. Demonstrated understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the Manager or other Associates is needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, and SharePoint is must.
