Legal Assistant / Executive Assistant - Litigation Partner The candidate will provide high-level administrative support to busy Litigation Partner. Will answer and screen calls, field inquiries, relay messages and track all communication with clients, opposing counsel and internal team. Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence via electronic and paper mail. File and organize documents utilizing Accutrac document management system. Coordinate and maintain partner schedules, appointments, travel arrangements, meetings and events. Receive and interact with incoming clients and visitors. Schedule and book travel arrangements for Partners and Client Project Teams seeking cost effective travel and alternatives. Complete travel expense reports; enter and track expenses and billable hours. Prepare partner expense reports and assist partners in resolution of outstanding personal expense statements. Assist with processing and payment of vendor invoices. Assist with the preparation, drafting and proofreading of correspondence, court papers and other legal and non-legal documents. Assist with preparing pleadings and/or case documents for inclusion in a precedent database. Organize and manage electronic and paper files. Conduct simple searches in case management database. Page-check documents. Update attorney binders. Conduct non-legal research using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER. Assemble and analyze data to prepare reports and documents. Assist with filing of documents with courts and various agencies, deposition preparation, document production and trial preparation. Bachelor's degree is required. Must have 3-6 years of legal and administrative experience supporting Partner level. Demonstrated experience with all phases of Litigation process is required. Proficiency using MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Westlaw, LexisNexis and PACER is needed. Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
