Contract Paralegal The candidate will be assisting with research on a few projects. The duties and required skills will include, but are not limited to Initial review of applications to open, close or relocate branches from consumer protection and community development perspectives. Will primary evaluation of branch performance in meeting the needs of underserved communities for banks participating in NY's banking development districts program. Will initial review and evaluation of bank applications to merge, convert to NY charter or to make community development equity investments. Should have outstanding critical thinking and analytical skills. Should have strong organizational skills. Should be fast learner. Should have higher education in Economics, Business Administration, Political Science, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or City and Regional Planning. Should have additional work and/or personal experience in research, planning, administration or analysis of community preservation and economic developments focusing on low-to-moderate income areas.
