Legal Specialist Level III
The candidate will provide duties include: Assist and support the review, drafting and negotiations of various types of agreements, including sales agreements, energy performance contracts, distribution, service agreements, construction, and technology integration contracts in accordance with the company's policies. Manage the contract review workflow tools. Provide support to counsel on litigation and pre-litigation matters. Take the lead in updating forms, development of tools, playbooks and processes, as well as conducting and coordinating training. Provide support to counsel and business unit personnel as needed (e.g., transactional; due diligence; audits). Prepare and organize documents for and assist in closing corporate/commercial transactions. Manage large-scale Legal Department projects regionally and globally. Thorough knowledge of company policies, practices and organization. Performs research and analysis for decision-making and presents synopsis. Assists in management of outside counsel and internal reporting.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have 8+ years of experience as certified paralegal or contracts manager with a law firm, agency or corporate law department or a Juris Doctorate degree with 2+ years of experience in commercial transactions. Must be familiar with transactional and corporate legal work with preference for candidates demonstrating an expertise in complex commercial transactions. Must be process-driven, detail oriented, self-motivated and analytical. Must have effective oral and written communication and organization skills. Must be self-starter with good problem solving skills and a client service focus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products, with specific experience in Power Point, Excel and database creation and maintenance. Prior in-house experience or experience supporting contracts in the construction industry and/or manufacturing operations is advantageous.
