Paralegal II The candidate will provide paralegal assistance in a wide variety of legal and administrative support matters pertaining to the organization including litigation, general legal matters, corporate governance, intellectual property, and contracts. Assist attorneys with organizing, managing and maintaining a variety of matters. Provide assistance in the preparation of legal documents, research and compilation of data from various legal references. Other tasks as assigned. Organize materials and responses to due diligence requests. Draft legal position statements for attorney review pertaining to various specific policies, operational practices, and/or transactions. Perform legal research both manually and through use of electronic resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw. Conduct routine and specific legal and factual information research and data compilation. Communicate regularly and proactively with attorneys to inform them of the status of projects and client matters. Inform them of pertinent issues. Track deadlines to ensure schedules are met. Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication. Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes. Prepare accurate and complete work products. Analyze data and situations to assist attorneys in making appropriate decisions in the best interest of the Company. Assist in crafting and implementing litigation legal holds. Organize materials and responses to due diligence requests. Compile, review, and organize information, materials, documents, reports and evidence. Summarize depositions and other legal documents. Prepare reports, correspondence and memoranda and other documents. Conduct routine and specific legal and factual information research and data compilation Assist with internal and external communications related to legal matters. Projects and other matters as assigned. Must have a college degree. Should have 3-5 years of progressively responsible paralegal experience in a corporate Legal department or law firm environment. Must have demonstrated strong ability to perform legal research; to conduct discovery, and electronic resource tools such as Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw. Should have good written and oral communication skills. A paralegal certification from an accredited paralegal program is required.
