Senior Attorney, Privacy and Security The candidate will be responsible for representation of a diverse group of global clients on legal issues related to privacy, data, cybersecurity, and compliance and work in a team environment with other legal and business professionals around the world. Will counsel clients on all aspects of domestic and international laws concerning privacy, data security, and cybersecurity. Assist business teams on incorporating privacy by design into products/services and adopting innovative privacy solutions from inception to end-of-life. Provide privacy and security impact assessments and compliance counseling to business teams, including growth businesses and new technologies. Counsel clients on privacy and security incident preparedness and management Support ongoing implementation and maintenance of company's GDPR compliance programs Researching and tracking global privacy and security legislation, evolving regulations, and enforcement and translating that into practical advice. Creating and presenting unique content through training, internal publications and webinars designed to enhance company's culture and comprehension of privacy laws and topics. Work with the Government and Policy Group, other attorneys, the Privacy Office, and other colleagues regarding new laws, regulations, and guidelines that may affect company's business.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a J.D. degree with active membership in at least one US State Bar. Must have 7+ years of experience with privacy and Data Protection law. Experience emerging trends in the various states, and a working knowledge of international privacy laws, particularly in the EU and/or Asia is required. Experience in the technology or computer industry and/or in-house legal work would be an added advantage, as well as CIPP certification.
