Job Overview: A well-established law firm located in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a highly skilled Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney. This position is designed for a legal professional with strong experience in estate planning, probate administration, and working with high-net-worth clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent client relationship management abilities and the expertise to lead in-depth client consultations.

Duties:

• Draft and review estate planning documents, ranging from basic to sophisticated plans.
• Incorporate estate and income tax planning strategies, including irrevocable trusts, into client recommendations.
• Administer probate estates and assist with trust administration.
• Conduct client meetings and consultations with high-net-worth individuals to address their estate planning needs.
• Provide comprehensive legal guidance on trusts, wills, and asset protection.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm.

Requirements:

• At least 4+ years of experience in trusts and estates law.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing client relationships, particularly during in-person consultations.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Maryland Bar.

Certifications:

• Active legal license to practice law in Maryland.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in drafting estate planning documents, including complex trust structures.
• In-depth knowledge of estate and income tax planning strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing high-net-worth clients.
