Profile

Temporary Corporate Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for providing direct support to the legal department and for liaising with management and outside counsel on various legal and special project initiatives. Perform legal research and draft legal documents. Assist in ensuring federal, state, and local compliance guidelines are met. Prepare various types of corporate agreements and manage contract timelines. Obtain, process, and track legal department expenses. Maintain communication with grant recipients regarding invention disclosures and work with outside counsel on next steps. Track and closely monitor all patent and trademark registrations. Work with outside counsel and management to ensure USPTO deadlines are met. Maintain Board of Directors and Corporation presentations, minutes, and records. Must have 5+ years of relatable work experience (Intellectual Property, Corporate Transactional). Should have Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies and/or Paralegal Certificate. Should preferably have Bachelor’s Degree. Offer strong project, organizational, time management, and communication skills is required. Offer high proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is needed.
