A respected law firm located in Buffalo, NY, is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to join their dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility after the training period.
Duties:
- Draft legal documents for plaintiff foreclosure cases (including mortgage foreclosures)
- Prepare and file Lis pendens, summons, and complaints
- Draft and oppose motions in foreclosure proceedings
- Write client correspondence related to assigned cases
- Make regular court appearances on behalf of clients
- Manage client communications, providing timely updates and responding to inquiries
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure law
- Must be admitted to practice in New York State
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice in New York State
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in legal document preparation
- Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in legal research and case management software
