Job Overview:
A respected law firm located in Buffalo, NY, is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to join their dynamic team. The firm focuses on representing community associations, with a special emphasis on mortgage foreclosures. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in plaintiff foreclosure work and a strong desire for career growth and stability. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility after the training period.

Duties:

  • Draft legal documents for plaintiff foreclosure cases (including mortgage foreclosures)
  • Prepare and file Lis pendens, summons, and complaints
  • Draft and oppose motions in foreclosure proceedings
  • Write client correspondence related to assigned cases
  • Make regular court appearances on behalf of clients
  • Manage client communications, providing timely updates and responding to inquiries

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage foreclosure law
  • Must be admitted to practice in New York State

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice in New York State

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in legal document preparation
  • Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in legal research and case management software
