Quality Assurance Specialist The candidate will ensure that the Child, Youth and Family Service program adheres to established performance and quality standards. Specifics duties include assisting in preparation of program manuals and policy guidelines, tracking data and generating reports, completing internal audits and evaluations and performing other tasks assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance. Will interprets and implements quality assurance standards and procedures in accordance with the Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law, State regulations, DHS guidelines, and internal policies. Conducts interviews with program staff, clients, and resource parents to evaluate program effectiveness and services. Writes quality assurance and program policies and procedures. Reviews and evaluates case records, subcontractor records, and personnel records for compliance. Conducts routine customer service inquiries to ensure acceptable performance and quality of case management services. Reconciles data between finance and program tracking applications. Responsible for having knowledge of Child Protective Services Law, State regulations, DHS guidelines, and contractual requirements and informing the Director of any new and/or revised regulations. Compiles statistical data and writes narrative reports summarizing findings. Assists with the coordination of audit information, and recommends appropriate data-gathering mechanisms, procedures, etc. Maintains current and accurate records of all relevant communications, audits, corrective action plans, and monitoring.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree. J.D. degree or paralegal certification strongly preferred. Prior experience in working in Quality Assurance/compliance and/or Child Welfare is preferred. Excellent communication and writing skills are needed. Experience drafting Excel reports is required. Experience working with databases is preferred.
