ProfileDeputy Director The candidate will assist with all aspects of HPDs EEO program and Diversity and Inclusion ("D&I") initiatives. Will conduct investigations into allegations of discrimination and/or harassment involving any protected class as defined by the City's EEO Policy and all other regulatory bodies; as well as investigations into allegations of EEO retaliation. Prepare memoranda, determinations and remedial recommendations for the EEO Officer's review. Gather relevant documents and witness statements, prepare written investigation reports summarizing findings and offer analysis, determinations and recommendations for the EEO Officer's approval. Process requests for Reasonable Accommodations and engage in the interactive process. Conduct live EEO Training of all HPD employees and identify and administer other relevant trainings as needed. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Department of Citywide Administrative Services ("DCAS") reports. Collect EEO and D&I statistics and coordinate the analysis of the data. Assist with the development of strategic goals to implement the HPD EEO and D&I Plan pursuant to directives from DCAS. Provide support in managing the EEO Office and oversee the clerical/administrative staff. Perform all other EEO and D&I related tasks as directed by the Assistant Commissioner. Must have Admission to the New York State Bar; and 4 years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any Bar, eighteen months of which must have been in the supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work.
