Duties:

  • Draft, review, and file motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, motions to strike, and demurrers.
  • Prepare meet and confer letters and handle other law and motion-related tasks.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw and other legal databases to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop and refine case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of legal documents, filings, and correspondence.
  • Provide legal guidance and advice to clients and internal teams as needed.
  • Assist with litigation preparation and ensure all legal processes are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in law and motion practice, specifically in state and federal courts.
  • Strong background in drafting motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, and demurrers.
  • Proven experience in legal research and writing, especially using platforms such as Westlaw.
  • Ability to effectively analyze complex legal issues and craft persuasive arguments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
