Administrative Officer, GS 7 - 11 Responsibilities: The candidate will coordinate and provide liaison on all HR-related actions with the servicing Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC/HR). Assist managers with the administrative aspects of performance evaluations, employee awards and ensuring compliance with HR-related policies. Coordinate and collaborate with management officials and CPAC representatives to discuss HR-related matters where there is sensitivity and disagreement among interested parties. Serve as the point of contact for manpower issues; ensuring that planning and staffing of the Division is consistent with anticipated workload, resources and regulatory guidance. Serve as the training program manager and coordinator. Pay close attention to detail; be accountable, and exhibit a high level of self-motivation.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: For GS-07: The candidate should have 1 year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support by preparing travel orders AND entering time and attendance (for other employees) in an automated financial system. OR One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business administration or management; organizational management; public administration; or human resources management. OR Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. For GS-09: The candidate should have 1 year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative functions in financial management/budget AND human resources AND training or records management. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business administration or management; organizational management; public administration; or human resources management. OR For GS-11: The candidate should have 1 year of specialized experience which includes maintaining manpower documents AND developing administrative policies, procedures, methods or practices; AND performing organizational studies to determine long-range requirements. OR Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business administration or management; organizational management; public administration; or human resources management.
