Legal Assistant The candidate will be responsible for provide general office support for litigation attorneys. Format, proofread, and finalize detailed correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents; prepare and finalize basic correspondence and other documents as necessary. Take responsibility for formatting, consistency and accuracy on documents. Establish and maintain paper and electronic filing systems; classify, sort and file correspondence, records and other documents. File pleadings in state trial courts (Courts of Appeals, Supreme Court, or Federal Court if necessary); communicate with court staff, as necessary, keep current with changes in court rules and filing procedures. Ensures accuracy in the system. Perform general research and support activities to assist attorneys.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have experience in an office environment and be comfortable working with the computer. Must have high level or proficiency with word/wordperfect and Outlook, experienced with Excel. Should have outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task. Must possess a willingness to learn and exhibit flexibility in a fast paced environment.
